I am an investigator at the VA Portland Health Care System Center to Improve Veteran Involvement in Care (CIVIC), where I conduct research to support Veterans to age in environments that match their preferences and needs.

Trained as a medical anthropologist, I employ qualitative, ethnographic, and mixed methodologies to understand older patients’ perspectives and to situate research findings within their broader context.
