I am an investigator at the VA Portland Health Care System Center to Improve Veteran Involvement in Care (CIVIC), where my research focuses on supporting Veterans to age in environments that align with their preferences and needs.

Trained as a medical anthropologist, I employ qualitative, ethnographic, and mixed methodologies to understand older Veterans’ perspectives and to situate research findings within their broader context.
